He has held various senior positions at AfB and currently works as Managing Director for GEWA IT Remarketing / Multimedia.
GEWA is a social enterprise with the very clear target of empowering people who are mentally challenged to find their place in the working environment.
GEWA Multimedia has around 70 employees and specializes in the refurbishment and resale of high-quality, used IT equipment.
Lisa Steffenhagen is the Senior Sustainability Manager at Grover, Europe’s leading tech rental platform for private customers and businesses, providing flexible, monthly access to a wide range of tech products, including smartphones, laptops, and cameras. She oversees Grover’s sustainability efforts, managing strategy, impact assessments, reporting, and targeted sustainability projects. Lisa has a background in Sustainable Technology (Industrial Ecology) and several years of experience in consumer tech and the fashion industry, particularly in the circular economy.
Mehmet Uygun is the co-founder and CEO of Getmobil, Turkey’s leading reverse marketplace for used electronics and an accredited refurbishment center. Under his leadership, Getmobil is transforming sustainable tech practices and expanding partnerships across the industry. A Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe honoree and MOBISAD board member, Mehmet is dedicated to advancing the circular economy and preparing for the company’s next growth phase.
Passionate about tech and the circular economy, Reynold Simonnet co-founded Dipli in 2016 with the mission of revolutionizing the second life of electronic products. With extensive experience in green tech and business management, he leads Dipli’s global strategy and European expansion. Reynold is known for his innovative vision and commitment to sustainability.
George Moroianu is a Romanian entrepreneur and co-founder of Flip.ro, a platform that promotes sustainability through the refurbishment and resale of electronics, particularly smartphones. Established in 2019 alongside Alex Burghelia and Alin Luca, Flip.ro quickly gained traction, becoming a key player in Romania’s circular economy. The company allows users to buy and sell refurbished phones that are “as good as new,” offering warranties and competitive prices, with a mission to reduce electronic waste and promote smarter, more sustainable consumer habits.
Flip.ro has grown significantly, attracting investment from eMAG Ventures, which contributed over 8 million euros to help scale the business. The company expanded its operations internationally, entering the Bulgarian, Hungarian and Greek markets. By 2024, Flip.ro served over 400,000 clients, saved over 7,000 tons of CO2, and generated revenues exceeding 56 million euros. George Moroianu remains committed to innovating in the field, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and “right to repair” as key components of Flip’s business model.
Andrii Kosar is the CEO of Breezy, a full-cycle provider of sustainable solutions for tech device trading, dedicated to the circular economy and extending the lifespan of gadgets. Breezy’s services include Trade-In as a Service for large retailers, telecom operators, and e-commerce platforms, as well as tech device buyback, ITAD, and DaaS for enterprises. Refurbished devices are processed at Breezy’s facilities and returned to the market through partners and the company’s own branded retail.
Under Andrii’s leadership, Breezy has expanded its partner portfolio to include over 45 authorized
Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi resellers, covering more than 4,500 stores. With over ten years of
experience in retail management, Andrii has built extensive expertise in driving a world-class
organization focused on customer experience, innovation, and sustainability. He is passionate about
making modern technologies more affordable while reducing the environmental footprint of electronics.
Andrii’s leadership and deep understanding of retail trends have helped Breezy, founded in Ukraine,
become a leading trade-in provider across seven countries.
Paulo Almeida is the Head of the Refurbished project at Worten, The portuguese leader in Electronics Retail, and top 3 in Iberia. With degree in Management and Industrial Engineering, in the last 15 years was managing areas as House Hold Appliances, IT and Telecom in the Commercial Division of teh company, having been in 2017 the first manager starting some tests with refurbished products in a big retailer. Today is leading the project of ReUse, focused in repair and sell 2nd hand products.
Alex joined Assurant in 2021 as managing director for the Connected Living business, and promoted to country manager, Germany in 2022. Alex leads business and drives further development in the D/A/CH region by creating products and services to meet the needs of consumers. He is responsible for all business activities and budgets and, together with an interdisciplinary, cross-border team, develops strategies to optimize existing client relationships and acquire new clients in the D/A/CH market. Alex manages client relationships while co-designing and implementing a joint business model along Assurant’s value chain, especially focusing on the logistics chain for device repair, trade-in and upgrade solutions, and developing innovative, localised, consumer-focused protection products and services. Prior to joining Assurant, Alexander Heß served in the role of head of Consumer Electronics Protection, Northern Europe for AXA Partners. His previous roles include positions at other insurers, including R+V Insurance, Chubb European Group and AXA Versicherung Deutschland.
